Network Services
The LAN file server provides LAN users with controled access on-line file storage space which is safe, secure, highly reliable, and backed up nightly. This space is configured to appear to each network connected PC (or Macintosh) as if it were a series of additional hard disks running on that system. Which disks appear and what their contents are is controled completely by the login information that was entered when connecting to the LAN.
Files and folders can be stored and retrieved using any of the software installed on your computer (Finder, Windows Explorer, Word, Excel, etc). Files stored with a Macintosh can be opened and edited with Windows and visa versa as long as both systems are running the same software product (appropriate for that file).
We currently provide full support for machines running Windows XP or Mac OS X. Full Windows Vista support forthcoming.
